The boat came from New York and was hauled to Montana on a flatbed truck. It has been a 5+ year project, and I would not have tackled it if it were not for Don’s books, and everyone that helped out. Thank you to all!
I appreciate the forum member’s contributions and hope that I can repay. I learned patience to try again when I fail. I enjoyed talking with everyone about their projects as well as mine, and have met a great group of people.
The challenge – much more difficult than I ever imagined, but rewarding, even though it took twice as long as I thought it would. Now I look forward to my next project as this completes.

A friend called one day and said “Hey I know you like boats, and I found a boat that I know you are going to want. It’s a kid’s boat, and only 8 feet long.” I was immediately taken by it when I went to look at it in a carport. Another project!
I dragged it home and started researching Fellows and Stewart and discovered it was a factory produced boat. What a great find. Although I spent countless hours on it, it was fun at every step. Making fittings and a windshield in miniature to fit the scale was the most difficult part. It took an entire day to fit the windshield after 3 failed attempts to bend it.
In the end… a mini runabout I call "Little Fellow."
